Covid 19 Update
We at Lifeboat 5202 have as like many others, been affected by the restrictions imposed as a result of this unprecedented pandemic.
Our planned passage to London with the Sir William Arnold which we were hoping to make at the end of March has been curtailed and as many of our followers and supporters know, we have been moored in Heybridge Basin. Unfortunately, the lockdown also meant we were unable to hold our naming ceremony in St Katharine Docks in May. This will probably be moved to a date in 2021.
Being in Heybridge and not open to the public has allowed us to get on with the restoration projects, so that when we do get to London, and the restrictions for museums are relaxed, we will be in a much more better position to open our sea doors to the public.
Numbers and tour formats will of course be in accordance with social distancing to ensure the safety of our guests and crew at all times, so please bear with us at this difficult time. More details of our new revised schedule and how to book your visit will follow in due course.
We can’t wait to show you what’s on board and thank you for your patience in these difficult times.
